Christmas Eve Dinner

Due to the increase of numbers in our family, we choose to have our Christmas Eve dinner and program at our Church this year. It worked our well. Since the building has a large supply of tables, chairs, pianos etc. we were all able to sit in one room and eat together. As requested, paper plates were used, so clean up was faster. We went with a Mexican themed meal and it turned out well, even though I burned the meat a little. Travis caught my error just in time!

Christmas Talent Show 2008

After our meal, the grandkids performed some of their piano and dance solos they learned this year. Somehow, I missed taking a picture of Sabrina playing her piano solo. I think I was too memorized by how amazing it was to remember to take the shoot. Sorry Sabrina! You all did a fantastic job!

Sisters, Sisters, There Were Never Such Devoted Sisters!

This was awesome!! The four sisters decided to surprise us with a scene from one of my all time favorite Christmas movies, "White Christmas". They sang and danced to "Sisters, Sisters". Apparently their stunning outfits were purchased at DI! They were hoping the boys would step up and perform the Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye part, but their shyness gene took over. Next year boys!! Fantastic job girls! I love it!!

Christmas Morning 2008

In an attempt to focus more on the birth and life of Jesus Christ, we tried to make our gifts longer lasting. The older boys all recieved a treasure box with important books and/or action figures from the Book of Mormon. For the oldest granddaughters, I made personalized recipe books with an apron and a spatula to start their cooking skills off. The adult couples each received a beautiful photograph of the Salt Lake Temple, which I fell in love with. They all thought I took the picture. I WISH!!!! The reaction of each couple is what I hoped for! Their excitement made my Christmas!

Christmas Morning Visits

The Peters' Family present to us was reciting the entire "The Living Christ" by heart. Dennis and I were moved to tears.
