Baby Shower Luncheon

Mikel and Telisa were nice enough to be pregnant together and they are due about a week apart! So we celebrated the two cousins impending birth with a Baby Shower Luncheon at Thanksgiving Point on January16, 2010! ( We love an excuse to celebrate!!) Congratulations girls! They are both having BOYS!!!

Christmas present from Telisa!!

When Telisa asked me for some ideas for a Christmas present for us this year. I quickly said, you can paint a mural in my playroom, since we were in the middle of repairing all the walls in our basement after a flood! SHE DID IT! I think it turned out beautiful, better than I could of imagined!!! Love it!!! Thank you Telisa!! And her big helper, Bodie!!

Christmas Eve Program cont.

Each year we do a little Christmas Eve Program. Traditional, the grand kids perform their piano and dance numbers from their recitals the past year, Kim will share her beautiful singing, Tiffany will play the piano and we act out the nativity story which they all did quite excellent I might add in the Relief Society Room. Last year the four sisters did a number from White Christmas called appropriately enough, "Sisters, Sisters" They tried to get Treavor and Travis to do the Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye part where they dressed up like girls and sang the same song. The boys weren't having any of it! So this year, I told them it was their turn to make a fool of themselves doing a musical number. So, that's what I thought was happening when they ushered us all into the Cultural Hall and stood there in sunglasses and sheet music in their hands. Then craziness ensued, as they, along with all their siblings and spouses joined in on a number they had seen performed on a video from "youtube" (I don't know the name of the song) The performances were absolutely hilarious to me! Their children stood in shock for a while. Then the little ones came running to their mommies, like are you OK? The muscles in my face hurt from laughing so hard!! Great job kids!!! Good luck trumping that number next year!! The older Grand kids were taking videos of the production. I hope to get a copy of one of the videos and figure out how to post the actual video! It's awesome!

Christmas Day 2009

As the years go by and our family size grows, our traditions have to change to accommodate the needs of the masses. So this year, Christmas morning Den and I made the rounds to everyone house to see what Santa brought to all our kids and grandchildren! This Christmas was a first for Den and I, we woke up with only each other. No kids, grandkids or other family members to share in the excitement. It was a little wierd and will take some getting use to. So, we ran down the stairs together to see what Santa brought--socks, levi's and a watch!

Peters Family Sports Day!

Super fun day!!! Last year, the day after Christmas we started a new tradition of sports and silliness with whole fam damily!! I don't like to brag, but this year I scored a goal in the hockey game and made a basket in the basketball game!! That's a world record for me!!

Vegas Bowl Game- 2009

Yep! This year I did it, I went to a Bowl Game three days before Christmas! Dennis has always invited me but I was never organized enough to go, (plus, I hate football!) But this year, four of our kids and one granddaughter( Tiffany, Tara, Treavor, Telisa and Trinity) went, so my goals were to have everything ready for Christmas before I left and not get sick this year!! Oh, by the way, BYU won!! As you can see Treavor, in his vintage cougar sweatshirt, gambled one dollar and made two dollars--doubling his money. We hope he doesn't become addicted to gambling now!!? Den and I had a riot with the family members that came! Trinity had a riot in our dryer!?
