My Priestood Power!

Monday, the 28th of January Den and I arrived at the Hunstman Cancer Hospital at 6:00 AM for his surgery. After the paper work, prepping and a tearful kiss good bye, Dennis was wheeled off at about 7:30 AM. Moments later in walked our son Travis followed shortly thereafter by our son Treavor. They were and continue to always be a source of strength, silliness and the kind of comfort a mother needs that can only be given by her beloved sons. Approximately thirteen hours later they left my side to be with their families. Thank you to the Peters girls (Kim, Sara, Sabrina, Whitley, Bailey, Morgan and Mylee) for sharing your husbands/dad with me that important day. Travis and Treavor, I hope you know how much I love and adore you both!!!

Sleeping with Darth Vadar!

Happy and thankful to be sleeping with Darth Vadar aka. Dennis Peters. After being diagnosed with severe off the charts sleep apnea, not to mention prostate cancer in the past few months, Dennis gets to be hooked up each night to a CPAP machine and Oxygen mask, which is no problem since Dennis breathing is pretty important to me!! I have actually slept better since the contraptions came into our bedroom. And thanks to DiVinci-a robot procedure surgery yesterday removed the dreaded and problematic Prostate! So, I'm extremely thankful to our dear friend Rulon who suggested to Dennis that he needs to see a Sleeping Disorder doctor and to Leonardo for all his many inventions, one of which may have saved my husband's life!!!

MMH (aka Make Mom Happy!)

Occasionally, I get knocked down, we all do, and this has been an particularly trying time for me. We all know no one can make one happy, only you can make yourself happy, but one evening my daughters surprised me with a much need Girls Night Out, which they code named "MMH" (MAKE MOM HAPPY!) There was Asian food (love it!), lots of chocolate!! (love it more!!), laughing, sillyness, shopping, crafting, gas station run to get some caffeine in our system, and talking with my daughters until after 3AM! Yes, I went to bed at 3:30 AM, which is a minor miracle for the early to bed, early to rise kind of girl. All these components were the perfect formula to lift my spirits! So thank you, thank you, thank you times a million to my thoughtful and awesome daughters, Kim, Tiffany, Tara, Tristen, Sara and Telisa for the funnest girls night ever!! Mission accomplished!!! A big appreciation to the Husbands for giving me your wives for the night. Sorry about all the noise Steve!

The Sights and Sounds of a Peters' Christmas!!

Ok, I survived another Christmas! It was both amazing and stressful! I try every year to find ways to de-stress the whole experience, but since we have been blessed to have a GROWING family, I haven't figured out a way to make it so. However, there were many words of appreciation and gratitude from my family after Christmas, which makes all the memories of decorating, shopping for 31!, wrapping, baking, visiting, parties, programs, Christmas Cards!?! all well worth every minute of it!! But as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so as you look at the pictures below, you see wonder, love, tears, talent and unity! They are many more pictures on our Family Web Page Galleries if you are interested!! As usual some of my favorite memories came from the unplanned moments and to all those who contributed to those, I thank you!!!
