Happy Mother's Day!!!

Kim, Tiffany and Tristen wearing their new flowers!
It started out with this group, but by the end, everyone was playing!!!
Some of our mother's were missing today (Telisa, Sara and Tara), but all are loved and cherished by me!! I am proud beyond words for the kind of mothers I witness in this family! There isn't any sacrifice or hardship they don't endure to give their children the love, support and attention they need. There isn't anything else you will ever do that is this important. I know your children don't comprehend the full extent of your sacrifice and love, but someday they will!!!

The Games!!

I don't know what it is, but there is few things in this world that make me happier than seeing my family having fun!!!

Craziness!!

My grandson Gunnar ,can now pick us up and throw us around!!!
Jessica, Sabrina, Whitley and Kourtney--crazy cousins!
The cousin pyramid!!

Bailey made me a placemat with all the reasons why she loved me on it. She looks a little sad, because her head was accidently slamed in the door a few moments prior to this. She's trying to be tough though!

The Chocolate!!!

My children have one goal each Mother's Day, and that is to make me cry. This year they succeeded again. However, it wasn't just one gift or the sweet sentiments spoken and written....it was seeing laughter and joy in each of their faces as they played outside in the Peters' fun yard, ate homemade Chimichungas, Eclairs, Cupcakes, Seven Layer Dip, and watched a wonderful DVD Travis and Kim made for me! I laughed so hard, my face muscles hurt! Let's just say, Mylee Kate is going to have her own Disney show one of these days. Added to that, was receiving a wonderful phone call from Telisa (I know she was sad she wasn't there) , a great hug from Treavor (I'm sorry Treavor was sick), a sweet tribute on Sara's blog and a tender e-mail from Tara who was in New York with the Sansoms. Dennis once again spoiled me with breakfast in bed and shopped around for the perfect gift--a Serger! I've always wanted one and now I can up my game a little with sewing projects. (I hope!?) I'm gonna need a few lessons!
Thank you everyone!! You made me feel very loved!

What's Kat been up to lately?

Ruffled T-shirt
Twisted Flowers

Burnt edges flowers

Gathered Flowers

Ruffled Table Runner
Yo Yo Flower necklace
Fabric Envelopes

Last month when I was in Ohio, Telisa got me hooked on some of these amazing craft sites while we were waiting for the birth of Tatum. It's in my blood to use creativity as an outlet. I'm real good at copying other people's great ideas and running with it. I had fun making fabric flowers and fabric envelopes and cards for my girls for Mother's Day. Above are just few examples!!

I hope you know how much I love you, and thank you mom, for reading to me, helping me get dressed, sewing pretty clothes for me, making sure we had matching corsages for Christmas and helping me put the finishing touches on my wedding dress the night before the big day!!! I love you so much!

Easter 2010--better late than never!

Easter was a few weeks late this year, due to the birth of Tatum and attempting to accommodate everyone's schedules with their other families. We still had fun, and I'm grateful for everyone's patience. At this rate we will probably have Easter 2011 around the 4th of July 2011! Then for sure we will have warm weather for the Easter egg hunt!
