Hawaii with the Beus Family!

Chad, Tiffany, Gunnar, Jessica, Kourtney, Zach and Rylee Beus. The Four Seasons Hotel on the island of Lanai!!

While in Hawaii, Den and I celebrated our 39th Wedding Anniversary. Tiffany and her children made sure it was celebrated properly!I put this photo in here of me snorkeling because besides the fact that I look like a corpse floating face down in the ocean, at that moment I am looking at about a 6 foot Shark! I think I was frozen with fear, but atlas, it didn't eat me!
Yep! That young man next to me is my GRANDSON, Gunnar!
Jessica, Kourtney and Gunnar getting snuba lessons. I think that's what it is called!?
Dennis with his mother's namesake, Hazel Peters, daughter of Paul and Angie Peters.

Den and Kat sneaking a kiss while our friendly parrot looks on.
Rylee not too excited about posing with these amazingly beautiful parrots! The rest of the family thought it was pretty cool!
Dennis and Gunnar were the only ones brave enough to jump off the waterfall.

Gunnar catching some rays and eating a snail!?

The theme from "Somewhere in Time" came to my mind when we drove up to our hotel! A little bit of heaven!!

Golfing on the grounds! The boat ride back to MauiBeautiful Beus Family!!
This year it was the Beus' turn to choose a destination and a time when we could take them on a vacation. At first it was just going to be Tiffany and her kids, but then Chad choose to come hang out with us for the last 6 days. It was a little tortuous for him to try and relax, but truth is, he deserves it and we did witness a laugh or two. We stayed the first four days in a Bed and Breakfast Inn that our nephew and his wife, Paul and Angie Peters own called The Blue Tile Inn. The kids LOVED the beach, the geckos, the crabs and all sorts of nature they found while exploring the south side of Maui. We stayed two nights in a Condo near Kaanipali and then four nights on the island of Lanai! Lanai was a slice of heaven in every way! Thanks to Chad and Tiffany's friends, we had a considerable discount staying at the Four Seasons Hotel!
It was a joy to spend 10 days with this remarkable family! They were fun, adventurous, grateful, entertaining and gave us the pleasure of their company!!
