Good Bye Jack!!!

Gord, Carol, Bette, Marilyn, Dennis and myself said goodbye to Jack Bauer on Monday, May 24th. We have been gathering together every Monday night for the last four years and now we are sad that era is behind us. Beyond the TV show, we loved having that unique time together to share the best food and the best lifelong friends! In those four years, there were grandchildren born, bones broken, illnesses, laughter, tears, spitting water all over the couch, Carol's creative themed meals, Bette and Marilyn's homemade delights and Gord's constant compliments! It was all good! We were all hoping Jack would have a happy ending finally, but we are still waiting for that to happen. Thanks for saving the world Jack, and thanks for bringing us together every week!
A side note: Den and I were driving home the other day. Our Bishop was walking home from the Church. We stopped to say hi. He said to us, "I have to tell you, I have so much more respect for you two since I learned you watched 24 every Monday night!" "I thought you two were the Mormon Tabernacle Choir type. " (meaning he thought we sat around all day listening to the choir, not that I don't absolutely love the Tab Choir!!!) Boy! Did we have him fooled!

Memorial Day 2010

This year for Memorial Day Den and I took my Dad to visit my Mom and my brother Gary's graves at the Bountiful Cemetary. I still can't believe they have both passed on. It was a beautiful day, one of the few that week, and I'm grateful for that. On Monday, the day was filled with yard work, garage cleaning, three cars washed and a wonderful BBQ at Tristen and Adam's home. Dennis and Adam put a swing set together for the Cade, Luke, Pyper and Redd. Tristen and I escaped to Hobby Lobby for a couple of hours! FUN!!!
