Blast from the Past!!!

For my 2009 Blog, each month, I am going to post some old photos from our past! These are some photos my grandma had, and subsequently I confiscated them from my mom's photo albums. I don't imagine they will be in any particular order--just ones that have some sentimental meaning. So, check it out!

This is dad and me in St. George visiting my Grandma and Grandpa Smith while we were dating. I was attending Dixie College at the time and dad was at BYU. We pretty much saw each other every weekend! Dad put a lot of miles on his little 240Z Datzun. After one semester, I transferred up to the Y!
Our Engagement Picture!!! Tara, I cut my own hair in those days, and I had to sew my own clothes! Actually, those kind of blouses are pretty much back in style!? Who knew!
I love this shot! This is our Taylorsville home. Dennis is getting lots of help putting in our yard from his three best helpers, Travis, Tiffany and Tara. Notice the old pick up truck and Foxy, our trusted dog!

Den and Kat to Tucson, Arizona!

Dad invited me on one of his golf trips! Thought it would be a blast to get out of the freezing snowy gloomy Utah and say hello to the sun and absorb some Vitamin D, and I was correct! We were invited by Dave and Gayla Corn, (Dave served with Dad in the Bishopric years ago in the single adult ward) to stay in a lovely condo (free of charge by the way). Two other couples, Mark and Linda Zobrist and Mitch and Kim Olsen, joined us and stayed in another condo a few miles away. Mostly we hung out, ate at delicious restaurants, shopped a little and learned how to play Canasta (I think that is how it's spelled). I enjoyed visiting with the gals, taking walks around the neighborhoods where the maintenance free yards are plentiful, the jack rabbits run wild, and I even saw two wild boars aka "Havalinas"! Dad's spirits were soaring with his golfing therapy sessions! It was hard to say goodbye to the sun!! But, we love our bed!

19 !!!

Last Sunday, January 4th, our family was invited to the VIP Tour of the Draper Temple! It was a marvelous experience in every way, from the little ones crawling all over the alter in the sealing room, to the good questions from the older kids. Of course, I had to snap a photo, since all 19 grandkids were reunited during the holiday season.

THE THREE AMIGOS!

The boys are gaining on the girls! 2008 blessed us with three new grandsons, Bodie Dennis, Owen Howard and Redd William!!!!

Owen 3 months old!!!

Could he be any cuter? Loves those rolls ---and tiny feet!!! Owen has come into this world with own set of unique needs. Don't give him warm and fuzzy blankets! He enjoys hanging out in his Onsie, nothing on his feet with the cold air on his skin. I love it! Sara gets strange looks when she is walking outside in this cold winter with an uncovered Owen! But what they don't understand is that's the way he likes it!!! He is happy, healthy and growing at a rapid pace!! WE LOVE OWEN!!!!
