The Sansoms agreed to let me take their family portraits again this year!! Everytime I clicked the camera, Jovie said, "thank you Grandma!" The mountains weren't quite ready for us, so the Hartman's let us use their beautiful yard!! This time I took nearly 300 pictures! Wow! So here is a small sample!

Redd Rocks!!

October is the only month of the year that we had no family birthdays!! However this October 15th, 2008, I am grateful beyond words for the birth of Redd William Van Leeuwen born to Adam, Tristen, Cade, Luke and Pyper making our family number 33! Redd is named after Dennis' ancestors--his maternal grandmother, Susan Redd Butler, his great grandfather, Lemuel Hardison Redd etc. Dennis and I are asking ourselves what we did to deserve such a wonderful posterity! Tristen has astounded us all with her physical and emotional strength to bring yet another beautiful little Van Leeuwen into the world via C-Section! Four c-sections in five years!! I suggest you all check out Kim's blog to get better informed about Tristen, the invincible! We thank you, Adam and Tristen for chosing the name and for another healthy grandchild to love and cherish!

Celebrating the pending birth of Redd!

 

 

Yesterday, we had a small intimate gathering for Tristen at "Dear Lizzie", a restaurant in Highland, Utah. In twelve days Tristen will be giving birth to her fourth baby and third boy within the past five years. We are all excited and anxiously waiting to see yet another beautiful little face produced by Adam and Tristen! Cade, Luke and Pyper are ready to welcome their new little brother into their hearts and home. Adam and Tristen are feeling a little overwhelmed, but we have every confidence that they will rise up to the blessing and challenge of four children! It was especially fun to see Mikel and Lily, as well as, Tristen's good friend, Jen. Of course, we missed our dear Telisa and we would love to have had Stephanie make a surprise visit! We all took turns holding Owen Howard!aka (mini Treavor) Redd William Van Leeuwen is being named after his Grandpa Peters' long line of Redd descendants.
